The School of Education’s global programs offer opportunities on several continents for travel, research, and study. Students and faculty explore comparative education and other disciplines in a variety of settings and develop cultural understanding as they prepare to impact the world.

Graduate Academic Program
The Department of Curriculum & Instruction leads this two-week program that takes graduate students into Italian schools, including schools in the Montessori, Pestalozzi, and Reggio Emilia traditions. Students interact with Italian professors, teachers, and students.
Graduate Academic Program
Graduate students travel to southern Costa Rica, venturing beyond tourist-filled locations and into less populated areas to visit local schools and work with nongovernmental and nonprofit organizations. Graduate students from all programs are eligible.

Graduate students may earn course credit toward the MSEd, MA, or PhD degree by participating in this international teaching and research experience in schools in London/Kingston-Upon-Thames, equipping them with a global perspective on teaching and learning.
Undergraduate (seniors) Academic Program
School of Education senior education majors spend three weeks in London/Kingston-Upon-Thames partnership schools teaching, observing, and researching with weekends and a fourth week for travel to other locations in the United Kingdom and Europe.

Senior education majors spend three weeks teaching in the Camp Hill area of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, with weekends and a fourth week for travel to other locations in Australia and New Zealand.
Undergraduate Semester Abroad
This full-semester study-abroad, tuition-exchange program is ideal for Baylor sophomore education majors; freshmen may also be considered. Students live on or near the campus of Liverpool Hope and experience the British culture while taking courses pre-approved for Baylor credit.
Undergraduate or Graduate Missions Trip
Naomi’s Village is a Kenyan children’s home and school founded by Baylor graduates. A multi-disciplinary Baylor team will travel to Naomi’s Village in Maai Mahiu, and the education team will work with students and teachers, plus explore research opportunities.
Undergraduate or Graduate Missions Trip
Students will be based in San Jose, Costa Rica, working with the students at El Colegio Técnico in Heredia, with day trips to volcanos and waterfalls. The trip focuses on helping Costa Rica students with English language skills.
