Professional Development Schools
The Baylor School of Education has nine Professional Development School campuses in Midway ISD and Waco ISD. These campuses host Baylor teacher-education students at various levels of preparation, beginning with the first education class taken by future educators.
The Co-Teach Model
The "Co-Teach" Training Model that Baylor implements for senior student-teaching interns enhances learning for both the Baylor students and the K-12 students. Mentor teachers and Baylor seniors are trained together to implement the model in the classroom.
Partner School Districts
The School of Education works in partnership with several area school districts to place our senior Teaching Interns into classrooms where they can learn from expert mentor teachers. All mentor teachers are trained by Baylor according to Texas Education Agency standards.
LEAD Living-Learning Center
By connecting the in- and out-of-classroom experience for Baylor students, the School of Education's LEAD LLC is a multidisciplinary residential learning community rooted in leadership development, academic growth, and service to others.
