Alyssa M. Harrington
LEAD LLC Program Director
Alyssa Harrington is the Program Director of the LEAD LLC (Living-Learning Community), located in Allen and Dawson Halls. The LLC accepts students of all classifications, welcomes students of all majors, and emphasizes the endless possibilities students have to meaningfully impact the world around them through education and healthy leadership.
Ms. Harrington is a two-time Baylor graduate, with a BBA in HR Management and minor in Religion (’19) and a master's degree in Higher Education & Student Affairs (MSEd ’21). During her master's program in the School of Education’s Department of Educational Leadership, she served as the Graduate Assistant Program Director in the Honors Residential College, gaining ample experience with living-learning programs. After graduate school and prior to her role within the School of Education, Ms. Harrington was an Academic Advisor for the Robbins College of Health & Human Sciences while also teaching a New Student Experience for transfer students.
As the Program Director of LEAD LLC, Ms. Harrington is responsible for the recruitment, marketing, admissions, and programming within LEAD. To emphasize the importance of living and learning within residence halls, she also teaches a New Student Experience section of LDS 1301, an introductory leadership course that members of the LLC can take as their introductory course at Baylor. Additionally, Alyssa works collaboratively with the Residence Hall Director, Faculty-in-Residence, Graduate Apprentice, and Resident Chaplain in the LLC to encourage student engagement, a growing interest in education, and overall success at Baylor.
