Lisa Osborne
Associate Director of Assessment and Professional Development
Lisa Osborne is the Associate Director of Assessment and Professional Development for the Office of Professional Practice (OPP) in the School of Education at Baylor University. She coordinates all testing for Baylor’s educator preparation programs. Ms. Osborne facilitates diagnostic certification tests and review sessions and reports test results to educator candidates and faculty. She supports teacher and superintendent candidates with exam preparation and provides resources and answers to inquiries related to testing. She also coordinates professional development and training events for the OPP.
Ms. Osborne joined the SOE after serving as a public educator for 31 years. Her professional experiences include roles as a secondary English teacher and middle school assistant principal in North Texas and Central Texas school districts. Most recently she worked as site coordinator for Midway High School, a part of Midway ISD in the Waco area. In that role she worked with Baylor faculty and Midway High School teachers and administrators to coordinate effective clinical experiences for Baylor SOE students completing their field experience requirements. During her tenure at this professional development school, Midway ISD received national recognition for its exemplary partnership with Baylor University’s SOE. Ms. Osborne received her BS in education from Baylor University with teaching fields in journalism and English. She earned her MEd in educational administration from Tarleton State University.
