Sameera Herath

Sameera Herath is Administrative Assistant at the Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development in the School of Education. She works closely with the Executive Director of the Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, and in her capacity as an administrative assistant, she executes various office tasks, manages schedules, coordinates meetings, and handles other responsibilities. Sameera joined Baylor University in the summer of 2023.

Prior to this role, she dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home parent from 2012, adeptly managing the responsibility of raising sweet two boys and a daughter while actively contributing to community engagement and educational support. Before embarking on her parenting journey, Sameera served as an Administrative Associate at Trinity College of Management and IT in London from 2007 t0 2008. Sameera's professional journey also included her tenure as General Sales Assistant Manager at MATALAN in London, UK, from 2008 to 2010. Sameera is originally from Sri Lanka, and before migrating to US in 2011, she completed her Master of Business Administration from the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK.
