Sandra Parnell
Associate Director of Certification and Program Accountability
Sandra Parnell is the Associate Director of Certification and Program Accountability in the Office of Professional Practice and the TEA certification officer for all teacher education programs at Baylor University. Ms. Parnell compiles and uploads all required data for state and federal reporting; provides support to all Professional Development Schools, partner campuses and districts that the School of Education works with; maintains records for all required documents submitted for student files; and monitors all changes within the state for teacher certification.
Ms. Parnell has an Associate of Arts Degree from Howard County Junior College and a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies from Angelo State University. She taught Kindergarten and seventh-grade in public schools prior to employment at Baylor University, where she was employed for two years in Moody Library.
Ms. Parnell has been part of the School of Education since 1999 and has been the certification officer since 2001. She served as president and president-elect of the Texas Associate of Certification Officers and is a member of the Texas Coordinators for Teacher Certification Testing.
