Terrill F. Saxon, Ph.D., is professor of educational psychology and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies & Global Engagement of the School of Education. Dr. Saxon served as interim dean from July 10, 2017 until July 1, 2020, and is the longest serving interim dean for the School of Education.
Dr. Saxon also teaches courses in statistical methods, history and systems, research methods, research in education, cultural issues, psychology of learning, and cultural issues with children and families in the Department of Educational Psychology. His research interests include cross-cultural studies of youth, schooling, teachers and a variety of other education-related factors.
Dr. Saxon obtained his B.A. in psychology and M.S. in educational psychology from Baylor. He then completed his Ph.D. at the University of Kansas, where he studied educational psychology and research and then completed post-doctoral work in KU’s Infant Cognition Center before joining Baylor in 1995.
